In designing lobbies and hallways, finishes chosen are fundamental in creating the ambiance of these areas. One of our firm’s best-loved materials is metal. Metal is very versatile, durable, timeless, and the possibilities for customization of this material are endless.
We have used stainless steel, nickel, and brass in many of our projects and play with finishes such as polished, satin, or brushed. We usually recommend metals in polished finishes for decorative elements that are not prone to fingerprints. Satin or brushed finishes are the better option for high-traffic and high-use areas.

Light Fixtures & Signage
We love recommending light fixtures with metal accents or sometimes full metal light fixtures. Light fixtures are small in scale but make a big impression. Signage and wayfinding need not be conventional. Notice our very modern approach to wayfinding. The brass metal number cut-outs against the beautiful wallcovering are just the right mix to bring out a very chic and classic look.
Door Hardware and IDs
A simple painted door can be transformed into a sophisticated entry with the right choice of hardware. In this project, we used satin or brushed stainless steel door hardware with a matching door ID against a neutral paint color to complete a very refined hallway interior.

Reflective metal looks very glamorous in any interior. It immediately makes an area look brighter, creating an illusion of space. This lobby we designed is nothing short of luxurious, and walking into this beautiful brushed antique satin nickel concierge desk makes you feel like you are living in a 5-star hotel. Complemented with the satin nickel metal accents from the light fixtures and corner guards, this space exudes opulence.
